Co, Inky and Dink, pals since forever ago,
loved the challenge of the play and
played the freedoms of ‘Just doing’.
All their energies expanded and expounded,
O, exploding at times
until exhaustion!
.

Time has afforded them different names
in different places throughout the land.
Some are Irish imps, Leprechauns.
Some are Scandinavian or Argentinian, Dutch.
Or Canadian-bred, like the Brownies.

All of them
had their Palmer Cox or Dr. Seuss tales that were passed on
and retold on television with Larry, Moe and Curly
in commercial ads with Manny, Moe and Jack – you know,
those Peppy Boys?

I have Co, Inky and Dink
who trollup up into déjà vu mists
to remind us of something.
Something that needs remembering,
the lesson learned.
Because, somehow
they know you need it now.
.

Pay attention to their handiwork,
be mindful of what is left for you to finish,
so when you play in the night
when no one is looking,
the path to Winken, Blinken and Nod
is laid with Signs.
.
Signs to let you know
that you are on the right path
toward building yourself.
